tilting disc check valve
I. Introduction:
The PXH44H tilting disc check valve is a non-slam check valve with flange sizes in accordance with ASME B16.5, GB, HG and SH standards. Its main advantage is that it overcomes the impact and water hammer phenomena generated by swing check valves and lift check valves under working conditions, realizing non-slam operation. Its main features include: double eccentric disc, which enables the seat and sealing surface to contact gradually during closing, achieving non-slam and noise-free operation; micro-elastic metal seat, ensuring good sealing performance; disc-type disc design, which enables quick and sensitive opening and closing, with a long service life; tilting disc structure that makes the fluid channel streamlined, resulting in small flow resistance and energy-saving effect. When used in combination with a stop valve, the tilting disc check valve can play a role in safety isolation. Its disadvantages are large flow resistance and poor sealing during closing.
II. Features:
1. Double eccentric disc, which enables the seat and sealing surface to contact gradually during closing, achieving non-slam and noise-free operation.
2. Micro-elastic metal seat, ensuring good sealing performance.
3. Disc-type disc design, which enables quick and sensitive opening and closing, with a long service life.
4. Tilting disc structure that makes the fluid channel streamlined, resulting in small flow resistance and energy-saving effect.
III. Performance Comparison:
Performance | Swing Check Valve | Tilting Disc Non-slam Check Valve |
Closing Force | Large | Small (approximately 1/5 to 1/8 of the former) |
Impact Force | Large | None |
Sealing Performance | Leakage allowed per API 598 | Zero leakage can be achieved |
Flow Resistance | Large (flow resistance coefficient ξ=1.3 to 2.5) | Small (flow resistance coefficient ξ=0.18 to 0.6) |
Flow Capacity | Small (flow coefficient Cv=76) | Large (flow coefficient Cv=154 to 333) |
Weight | Relatively large | Relatively small (approximately 80% of the former) |
